 Westbrook Dance Academy’s Policies and Procedures

 

At WDA our goal is to provide the safest environment for our dance family. The safety of our dancers and families is our number one priority. Always has been. Our coalition of over 40 Connecticut Dance Studios has put together comprehensive safety protocols for our industry along with our national membership organizations.

  1. Parents must conduct their own health assessment of their dancer prior to arriving at WDA. Parents are asked to keep their child home if they or anyone in the family is sick, or feeling unwell.
  2. Dancers should arrive to WDA in their dance clothes approximately five minutes prior to class.
  3. Hand sanitizer is available for dancers and staff.
  4. Students are to bring their own water to class. Water bottle should be labeled.
  5. If needed bathroom breaks will be given one student at a time and staff will wipe down all surfaces after each bathroom use.
  6. Touchpoints will be regularly cleaned, all door handles through the studio, Ballet Barres, Bathroom faucets, toilets, door handles in bathroom stalls
  7. Cleaning throughout the facility includes all floors, touchpoints and bathrooms.
  8. Air conditioning/Fan units will maximize fresh air intake into the system, and continuously draw fresh air into the studios. Auxiliary fans will be on as needed.
  9. Air Purifiers will be on.
