The Westbrook Dance Academy Competition Teams recently competed in the Revolution Talent Nationals at Kalahari Resort, Poconos, PA. In a competition over 30 studios from across the United States, and over 1000 entries – with some divisions having over 90 entries – the team had two dances earn spots in the End Game, won second place in the End Game, had multiple top 5, top 10, and top 20 results, won the Entertainment Award, had several category winners, and were awarded judges special awards and scholarships.

The Production Team scored platinum, won second place in the Grand Line Division, and won second place in the End Game with “Tarzan Rocks.”

Production Team members – representing the towns of, Westbrook, Clinton, Old Saybrook, Madison, Killingworth and Guilford are: Olivia Amenta, Elijah Bragg, Ayla Foulkes, Riley Lindquist, Kylie Magee, Adele Merriman, Ava Merriman, Violet Topping, Mallory Tuccitto, Brinley Dwyer, Jolie Stevens, Bailee Barnett, Avery Bragg, Mackenzie Gallagher, Sydney Haynes, Taylor Lindquist, Zendaya Morris, Audrey Bragg, Delilah Calle Paredes, Sophie Furcolo, Aubrey Meyer, Tess Santarsiero, Mia Stowik, Vanessa Swanson, and Sofia Taylor.

In the Senior Small Group division, the Senior Competition Team scored platinum with all of their dances with “Rated RED” finishing third and qualifying for the End Game, and “Uninvited” finishing eighth. “Heathers” won the entertainment award, and Heartlines scored won their category.

Senior Competition Team members – representing the towns of Westbrook and Old Saybrook, and Clinton – are: Delilah Calle Paredes, Sophie Furcolo, Aubrey Meyer, Tess Santarsiero, Mia Stowik, and Sofia Taylor.

In the Senior Solo Division, Delilah Calle Paredes scored platinum and finished second out of 93 soloists with “What Have You Done For Me Lately?” Tess Santarsiero scored platinum and finished 20^th with “Feeling Good.” Mia Stowik scored platinum with her two solos “I’m On My Way,” and “Fever.” Sophie Furcolo scored Elite Gold with “Twin Size Mattress,” and Sofia Taylor scored Elite Gold with “Do I Wanna Know.”

In the Teen Solo Division, Aubrey Meyer scored platinum and finished seventh out of 93 soloists with “Battlefield.” Mallory Tuccitto scored Elite Gold and won a judges special award with “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

In the Junior Showcase Solo Division, Mackenzie Gallagher scored platinum and placed seventh with “Sassy.”

In The Junior Duo/Trio Division, Sydney Haynes, Taylor Lindquist, and Ava Merriman placed 10^th overall with “Girls Night Out.” Mallory Tuccitto and Olivia Amenta were awarded a scholarship with “Everybody Hurts,” Adele Merriman and Riley Lindquist scored platinum with “Woman Up,” and Kylie Magee and Ayla Foulks scored elite gold with “Better When I’m Dancin.”

In the Junior Small Group Division, the Acro Team scored platinum and won a scholarship with “Ring Around the Rosie,” and Junior Team scored platinum with “Mr. Blue Sky,” and Elite Gold with “Addams.”

Junior Team members representing Westbrook, Clinton, Madison, Old Saybrook, and Guilford are: Olivia Amenta, Elijah Bragg, Ayla Foulkes, Riley Lindquist, Kylie Magee, Adele Merriman, Ava Merriman, Violet Topping, and Mallory Tuccitto.

In The Junior Solo Division, Olivia Amenta scored platinum with “Daddy,” Ayla Foulks scored platinum with “Goosebumps,” and Elijah Bragg scored platinum with “I Ain’t Worried.”

In the Teen Duo/Trio Division Avery Bragg and Olvia Amenta scored elite gold with “End of the Line.”

In the Junior Showcase Small Group Division, the Petite Team scored platinum with “Royal Affair.”

Petite Team members representing Westbrook, Clinton, and Madison are: Bailee Barnett, Avery Bragg, Mackenzie Gallagher, Sydney Haynes, Taylor Lindquist, and Zendaya Morris.

It was the conclusion of another very successful season for the Westbrook Dance Academy Competition Teams.

Westbrook Dance Academy offers programs for all ages Beginner to Advanced, Recreational and Competition for all ability levels and ALL ages in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Acrobatics, and Musical Theater.
