The Westbrook Dance Academy Competition Teams recently concluded an extremely successful competition season earning four regional championships and nine bids to the World Dance Championship in August. The Production was regional champion and qualified with “Pirates of the Carribean.” The Senior Competition Team qualified with their Musical Theater “One More Happl’y Ever After.” The Hip Hop Team was regional champion and qualified with “Queen Nicki,” The Acro Team was regional champion and qualified with “Dead Silence,” while the Mini Team qualified with “Monsters Inc.” The teams, duos, and soloists also won numerous regional championships, high score awards, choreography awards, entertainment awards, scholarships, and special awards during the season.

Westbrook Dance Academy teams are three time World Dance Champion Finalists.

The World Dance Championship will be held in July in New Jersey. Westbrook Dance Academy will compete against dances that qualify from across the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, China, and Great Britain.

Production Team members Isabella Johnson, Aubrey Meyer, Bridget Johnson and Madison Grady are from Clinton. Ayla Foulks, Sofia Taylor, Desire Calle Paredes, Delilah Calle Paredes, Calla Gilson, and Tess Santarsiero are from Old Saybrook. Audrey Bragg, Elijah Bragg, and Violet Topping are from Madison. Sophie Furcolo, Mia Stowik, Olivia Amenta and Ava Merriman are from Westbrook. Mallory Tuccitto, Marlee Lampright, Leila Painter, and Summer Painter are from Clinton. Kylee Magee is from Guilford.

Hip Hop Competition Team members Mia Stowik is from Westbrook, Sofia Taylor, Delilah Calle Paredes, Calla Gilson, and Tess Santarsiero are from Old Saybrook, Aubrey Meyer and Madison Grady are from Clinton, and Audrey Bragg is from Madison.

Mini Team members Olivia Amenta and Ava Merriman are from Westbrook, Mallory Tuccitto, Marlee Lampright, Leila Painter, and Summer Painter are from Clinton, Elijah Bragg and Violet Topping are from Madison, Ayla Foulks and Desire Calle Paredes  are from Old Saybrook, and Kylee Magee is from Guilford.

Acro Team members Olivia Amenta and Mia Stowik are from Westbrook, Mallory Tuccitto, Aubrey Meyer, and Madison Grady are from Clinton, Deliah Calle Paredes, Desire Calle Paredes, and Calla Gilson are from Old Saybrook. Kylie Magee is from Clinton. Audrey Bragg is from Madison.

Westbrook Dance Academy offers programs for all ages Beginner to Advanced, Recreational and Competition for all ability levels and ALL ages in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Boys Hip Hop, Irish Step, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, and Technique Workshops.
